Citizens Against Citizens Sets Up Online Petition

There is also a gentleman by the name of James Hazelton who has established a petition against Citizens Insurance at PetitionsOnline.com that reads:

This petition is intended for Florida residents. It is to be sent to the Florida legislature. The petition pertains to the citizens insurance that the taxpayers of the state of Florida are subsidizing. Are you willing to PAY the insurance costs of the MILLIONAIRES LIVING ON THE COAST OF FLORIDA? I'm not, some of these rich pay less for their beach home insurance than I pay for my home that is assessed at less than $100,000 and far from the beach. The Tampa Tribune (03/26/06) has a front page article that gives rates for Pasco and Pinellas counties per $100,000 of citizens insurance. Pasco county $457 per $100,000 Pinellas county $412 per $100,000 for homes worth $1,000,000 or more. How I wish I could purchase my insurance at this rate. My savings would be almost $800 a year. The politicians need to change the rates and quit giving the millionaires preferential treatment. Please sign this petition Florida residents and I will email the petition and names of Florida voters to every state legislator.

Citizens Against Citizens is a much catchier name than Homeowners Against Citizens I think.
